Opening Gala Friday June 25th

Located at 5722 W 63rd Street in Chicago's Clearing neighborhood, the Majestic Midway was built 100 years ago as a single screen movie theater.

In the works...is proud to be bringing this historic building back to the arts.

The Majestic Midway Theater is a collective performing space run by In the Works...theatre company.

The space is dedicated to the mission of the company, particularly in bringing the greatest variety of performances to our home community.  We are strongly committed to making the arts accessible to working people by keeping our ticket prices under $20.  We strive to never have a ticket cost more than $15. The space is also dedicated to giving emerging artists the opportunity to work in our space with no deposits or unreasonable rental agreements.  The space and the artist simply split the revenue generated by ticket sales.  So 50% of every ticket goes back to the artists and production companies.
